“The need for vitamin D supplementation of dairy cattle has been known for the better part of the last century and is well appreciated by dairy producers and nutritionists. Whether current recommendations and practices for supplemental vitamin D are meeting the needs of dairy cattle, however, is not well known. The vitamin D status of animals is reliably indicated by the concentration of the 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] metabolite in serum or plasma, with a concentration of 30 ng/mL proposed as a lower threshold for sufficiency. The objective of this study was to determine the typical serum 25(OH)D concentrations of dairy cattle across various dairy operations….” Read More

ILite® Anti-CD20 ADCC Activity Set is for Research Use Only in the US.  Not to be used for Diagnostic Procedures.

Eagle Biosciences is proud to announce the launch of the iLite ADCC Activity Assay product line and the iLite anti-CD20 ADCC Activity Set.

Rituximab, a chimeric monoclonal antibody against CD20, was one of the first therapeutic antibodies within the oncology field to receive approval by the FDA in 1997. Ever since biosimilar and innovative biologicals with similar mechanism of action have been developed and marketed.

Antibody-dependent cell-medicated cytotoxicity (ADCC) can now, using our new iLite®ADCC Activity Assays, be measured in a straight forward, sensitive and reproducible manner.

ILite® Anti-CD20 ADCC Activity Set is a great addition to EagleBio’s Drug Monitoring kit Line which offers a unique grouping of products that provide incredible value to pre-clinical and clinical pharmacology studies, cancer research, and more specifically anti-tumor therapeutic investigation and more.

Key Advantages

The iLite® anti-CD20 ADCC Activity Set

  • Comprehensive kit– Contains 3 different genetically modified cell lines (components also available separately):
    1. Reporter Effector cell,
    2. Positive Target cell
    3. Negative Target cell
  • Fast- results in 5 hours- this set of cells enables measurements of an anti-CD20 drug’s ability to induce ADCC,
  • Easy- NO Cell culturing isrequired
  • Flexible– Effector cells, which can be used with any Target cell, include a normalization readout which can adjust for differences in cell counts.

Publication Highlights:

“Gasoline fume has been considered a major air
pollutant affecting the heart, lungs, brain, liver and kidneys. Therefore, this
study aims at investigating the effect of inhalation exposure to gasoline fume
on some endogenic stress hormones and oxidative enzymes of albino rats……The
levels of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), aldosterone and corticosterone
were determined using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits.

Chromogranin A ELISA

Chromogranin A ELISA is for Research Use Only.

Eagle Biosciences’ Chromogranin A ELISA in our Cancer Biomarker Assay Kit Line. The Cancer Biomarker Assay Kit Line offered Eagle Biosciences provides a comprehensive array of sensitive and valuable tools to assist researchers in new emerging market segments in cancer research such as tumor marker and antitumor therapy investigation.

Our Chromogranin A ELISA is one of the unique assays in the this Cancer Biomarker Assay Kit Line that offers excellent  sensitivity, precise results in under 3 hours, and exclusive measurement of human chromogranin A without the high dose “hook” effect up to 1,000,000 ng/ml.

Why Measure Chromogranin A?

Chromogranin A (CgA) is a 49 kDa acidic protein that consists of 439 amino acids encoded on chromosome 14. It has been identified in a number of normal and neoplastic endocrine tissues. In fact, chromogranin A is a highly sensitive and specific marker for pheochromocytoma, carcinoids, and other neuroendocrine tumors (NET) [1]. Molina et. al describes “CgA is one of the most used tumor markers in NETs, and elevated CgA concentrations have been demonstrated in serum or plasma of patients with different types of these tumors [2].”

The measurement of Chromogranin A  provides incredible value to scientists studying numerous areas of cancer research beyond other biomarkers utilized for the detection, evaluation, and monitoring of specific tumor types.

Key Advantages of EagleBio’s Chromogranin ELISA, CHR31-K01

  • Excellent Sensitivity
  • Precise results under 3 hours
  • Measures CgA without the high dose “hook” effect up to 1,000,000 ng/ml.
  • Competitive Price
