Product Background

Nucleoprotein (N protein) is one of four structural proteins of Coronavirus (SARS-Cov, SARS-Cov-2, MERS amongst other). The N protein primary function is to package the viral SARS-Cov-2 RNA genome within the viral envelope to form the helical nucleocapsid. N protein is highly expressed in infected cells from the first days if infection by SARS-Cov-2.
