HeLa human carcinoma expressing TurboGFP
The HeLa human carcinoma expressing TurboGFP is For Research Use Only
Human cervix carcinoma cells were stably transfected with a plasmid coding for pTurboGFP resulting in a bright green fluorescent cell line. The HeLa cell line was established as the first cell line from a cervix carcinoma of a 31-year-old woman in 1951. These cells proliferate rapidly and display an active telomerase enzyme avoiding normal aging and cell death through shortening of the telomeres. HeLa cells are very durable, easy to handle and widely used in cell culture-based research.
