Total complement functional screen ELISA Kit
The Wieslab® Total Complement Functional Screen is a research assay used to evaluate the overall functional activity of the complement system, a major component of innate immunity. The complement system consists of plasma proteins that work together to support pathogen clearance, immune complex processing, inflammation, and other immune processes. Functional complement assays assess the ability of serum to support complement-mediated activity and can provide a broader assessment of complement function than assays that measure individual complement proteins.
In research settings, total complement functional screens are used to investigate complement pathway activity, immune regulation, and mechanisms of complement activation or dysfunction. Researchers can use these assays to study complement responses in experimental models of autoimmune, infectious, and inflammatory processes, as well as to evaluate changes in complement activity following experimental treatments. Complement functional testing also supports investigations into relationships between overall complement activity, immune responses, and molecular pathways involved in complement-mediated inflammation and tissue injury.
This Total complement functional screen ELISA Kit is manufactured in Sweden by Svar Life Sciences.
