M3 AChR ELISA Kit
The M3 Acetylcholine Receptor (M3 AChR) ELISA Kit is designed to detect and quantify antibodies against the M3 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (M3 AChR), a G-protein–coupled receptor widely expressed in smooth muscles, exocrine glands, and the central nervous system. M3 AChR plays a key role in regulating glandular secretion, smooth muscle contraction, and parasympathetic nervous system signaling. Autoantibodies targeting M3 AChR have been associated with autoimmune disorders, dysautonomia, and exocrine gland dysfunction, making their detection important for both research and clinical studies.
In this ELISA assay, microplate wells are coated with recombinant or synthetic M3 AChR antigens to capture specific antibodies from serum, plasma, or other biological samples. After binding, an enzyme-linked secondary antibody produces a colorimetric signal proportional to the level of M3 AChR–specific antibodies. This method offers a sensitive, specific, and reproducible approach for quantifying receptor-targeting antibodies.
Applications of the M3 AChR ELISA Kit include investigating autoimmune-mediated dysfunction of smooth muscles and exocrine glands, monitoring antibody responses in experimental models of dysautonomia or Sjögren’s syndrome, and studying immune modulation of cholinergic signaling. Measuring these antibodies provides insights into disease mechanisms, immune-mediated receptor regulation, and potential therapeutic strategies.
This M3 AChR ELISA Kit is manufactured in Germany by CellTrend GmbH.
