Biotinyl Human IGF-I

Biotinyl Human Insulin-like Growth Factor-I (biotinyl IGF-I) is prepared by labeling the primary amines of IGF-I with Sulfo-NHS-Biotin, resulting in a mixture of biotinylated species, with di-biotinyl IGF-I being predominant. A molecular spacer is incorporated during the biotinylation process to reduce steric hindrance and facilitate efficient binding to avidin or streptavidin.
