Rat IGFBP-4

$190.00

Rat Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein-4 (IGFBP-4) is a 233 amino acid glycoprotein that belongs to a family of six circulating proteins with high affinity for IGF-I and IGF-II. It plays a critical role in modulating the metabolic and mitogenic effects of these growth factors. This product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.

Rat Insulin-like growth factor binding protein-4 (IGFBP-4) is a 233 amino acid protein which is a member of a family of six circulating proteins that bind IGF-I and IGF-II with high affinity and modulate their metabolic and mitogenic effects. Rat IGFBP-4 is present in biological fluids as an N-linked glycosylated form. IGFBP-4 is primarily an inhibitor of IGF action and does not generally bind to cell surfaces.

This product has an N-terminal glycine and is non-glycosylated. [Gly1]IGFBP-4 has the same binding characteristics to IGF-I as glycosylated IGFBP-4.
