ANA pro (Antinuclear Antibody) ELISA Kit

$455.00

The ANA pro ELISA Assay Kit is used for the separate semi-quantitative determination of autoantibodies to nuclear and cytoplasmic antigens (dsDNA, RNP, Sm, SS-A, SS-B, Scl-70, CENP, Jo-1) in human serum or plasma for the differential diagnosis of systemic rheumatic inflammatory diseases. The ANA pro ELISA Assay Kit is for research use only and not for diagnostic procedures.

ANA Profile (ANA Pro), also referred to as an antinuclear antibody panel, is an expanded testing approach that goes beyond the general ANA screen. While the ANA screen detects the presence of autoantibodies against nuclear components, the ANA profile identifies specific autoantibodies against individual nuclear antigens, such as anti-dsDNA, anti-Sm, anti-RNP, anti-SSA/Ro, anti-SSB/La, anti-Scl-70, and anti-centromere antibodies. This provides a more detailed and disease-specific autoantibody signature, which can help differentiate between various systemic autoimmune disorders. Each autoantibody within the panel is associated with particular autoimmune conditions, giving both diagnostic and prognostic information.

In the clinical setting, the ANA profile is used to refine diagnoses following a positive ANA screen. For instance, anti-dsDNA and anti-Sm are highly specific for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), anti-Scl-70 indicates systemic sclerosis, and anti-SSA/Ro and anti-SSB/La are associated with Sjögren’s syndrome. The panel helps clinicians stratify patients, predict organ involvement, and guide treatment decisions. It is particularly valuable in patients with ambiguous clinical features, overlapping syndromes, or early-stage disease where a general ANA result alone is insufficient.

In research, ANA profiles are important for studying autoimmune pathogenesis, epitope specificity, and disease heterogeneity. They are used in cohort studies to identify subclinical autoimmunity and to correlate specific autoantibody patterns with disease severity, progression, and organ involvement. ANA profiles also serve as biomarkers in clinical trials, helping evaluate responses to immunomodulatory therapies and providing insights into the mechanisms of autoimmune diseases at a molecular level.
