M2 AChR ELISA Kit
The M2 Acetylcholine Receptor (M2 AChR) ELISA Kit is designed to detect and quantify antibodies against the M2 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (M2 AChR), a G-protein–coupled receptor predominantly expressed in the heart and central nervous system. M2 AChR plays a critical role in regulating cardiac function, including heart rate and atrial contractility, as well as in modulating parasympathetic nervous system signaling. Autoantibodies targeting M2 AChR have been associated with autoimmune cardiac disorders, arrhythmias, and certain neuroimmune conditions, making their measurement valuable in both research and diagnostic contexts.
In this ELISA assay, microplate wells are coated with recombinant or synthetic M2 AChR antigens to selectively capture M2 AChR–specific antibodies from serum, plasma, or other biological samples. After binding, an enzyme-linked secondary antibody generates a colorimetric signal proportional to the antibody concentration. This provides a sensitive, specific, and reproducible method for detecting and quantifying receptor-targeting antibodies.
