Vitamin B6 refers to a group of related compounds—pyridoxine, pyridoxamine, and pyridoxal—that are converted in the body to the active coenzyme form, pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P5P). After incubation, turbidity is measured by ELISA reader and compared to a standard curve, with bacterial growth directly proportional to vitamin B6 concentration.
