The Thrombin Receptor I (PAR1) Antibody ELISA Kit is designed to detect and quantify antibodies directed against Protease-Activated Receptor 1 (PAR1), also known as Thrombin Receptor I. PAR1 is a G-protein–coupled receptor activated primarily by thrombin and plays a key role in platelet aggregation, vascular integrity, coagulation, and inflammatory signaling. Because dysregulation of PAR1 activity is linked to cardiovascular disease, thrombosis, inflammation, and tumor progression, antibodies targeting PAR1 have become a valuable biomarker and research focus in immunology and vascular biology.
In this ELISA, microplate wells are coated with recombinant or synthetic PAR1 antigens to capture PAR1-specific antibodies present in serum, plasma, or other biological samples. After antigen–antibody binding occurs, an enzyme-conjugated secondary antibody generates a colorimetric signal proportional to the concentration of anti-PAR1 antibodies. The assay provides a sensitive, specific, and reproducible tool for evaluating immune responses against PAR1.
Applications of the Thrombin Receptor I (PAR1) Antibody ELISA Kit include investigating autoimmune or inflammatory mechanisms affecting platelet function, studying antibody involvement in coagulation disorders, monitoring immune responses in cardiovascular disease models, and assessing the immunogenicity of PAR1-targeted therapeutics. Quantifying these antibodies helps researchers better understand immune-mediated modulation of thrombin signaling pathways and supports the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
