PIK3CA qPCR Kit
The APIS PIK3CA qPCR Kit is a highly sensitive (≤0.5% MAF) real-time qualitative PCR test for the detection of the five most prevalent activating mutations in the PIK3CA gene, covering >95% of actionable mutations, and designed for DNA extracted from either formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) breast tumour tissue (gDNA) or blood plasma (cfDNA).
The kit includes 2x mutation-specific primer-probe mixes to enable multiplexed & sensitive detection of the target mutations. Additionally, it utilises PCR clamp and blocker technology, which ensures specific amplification of the mutant sequence, even in the presence of a high wild-type background. Negative controls, positive controls and reference PIK3CA gene amplification provide QC for sample input and PCR amplification.
Compatible with most real-time PCR instruments and can be implemented easily into your current PCR workflows. Provides testing throughput flexibility as 24 samples + controls can be run on a 96-well plate, or supports low throughput testing with enough reagents for up 8x PCR runs. The APIS PIK3CA Mutations Kit can be run alongside the APIS ESR1 qPCR Kit on the same plate to utilise sample testing efficiency.
