Human L-EGF is a cost-effective analogue of epidermal growth factor (EGF), engineered with a 53–amino acid N-terminal extension. Designed for supplementation of mammalian cell culture, it supports survival and proliferation in serum-free or low-serum media and can replace native or recombinant human EGF. L-EGF shows synergistic effects with LR3 IGF-I and with L-TGF-α in keratinocyte growth. Media grade quality, suitable for commercial cell culture. This product is for research use only and not to be used in diagnostic procedures.

Human L-EGF is a low-cost, potent analogue of human epidermal growth factor (EGF) developed by GroPep® specifically for supplementation of mammalian cell culture to support the survival and proliferation of cells in serum-free or low serum culture. It can be used as a like-for-like replacement for native EGF or recombinant human EGF. It comprises the human EGF amino acid sequence plus a 53 amino acid N-terminal extension peptide.

Synergistic effects have been observed with LR3 IGF-I in HEK293, PER.C6®, MDCK and HeLa cell lines. L-EGF has also shown synergistic effect with L-TGF-α in keratinocyte differentiation and growth.

Media grade L-EGF is a high quality product for use in commercial cell culture.
